Camillus, NY—The new Movie Tavern under construction in Camillus has begun hiring 200 people for its theater-restaurant complex.
A big electronic billboard on the outskirts of the Township 5 complex announced the opening of the Movie Tavern’s hiring center on May 5. The entertainment venue is hiring servers, bartenders, cooks prep cooks, box office workers and food runners, said Russell Brown, the kitchen manager.
The Movie Tavern offers much more than the standard movie theater. Customers may order alcoholic drinks and dinner while they watch a movie.
“It’s really like 11 full-service restaurants that happen to show movies,” Brown said.
Brown said he expects the venue to open sometime in mid-June.
Movie Tavern’s hiring center at 150 Township Blvd. Suite 20, Camillus, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
No appointment is necessary.
