Camillus, N.Y. — New buildings and more new tenants will begin making their way to Township 5 soon.
The project’s developer, the Cameron Group of East Syracuse, plans to build a new 4,000-square-foot building at the site between LongHorn Steakhouse and the Costco gas station.
Summit Federal Credit Union will occupy half the building and an unnamed retailer will take the other half, according to town planning board minutes.
In addition, Petco, recently announced as a Township 5 tenant, will get its own building at the development, according to minutes.
Cameron plans to build a 12,500-square-foot building for the store next to the Movie Tavern location at Township 5.
Construction on Movie Tavern is underway now. The venue will offer in-theater dining and bar service and open next year.
Township 5 is a $58-million mixed-used project. It’ll have 500,000 square feet of space when finished, including retail, offices and a 96-unit apartment complex.
The development includes a number of local and chain restaurants and retailers.
There’s more on the way. Another local restaurant, Mitsuba Japanese Steakhouse, will open soon.
Work has also started on the development’s apartment complex and office buildings. One of the development’s first office tenants will be a medical practice, Pediatric Associates.
Township 5 is located just off the Hinsdale Road exit of Route 5.
