CAMILLUS, N.Y. — Mitsuba Japanese Cuisine, an Asian fusion eatery, will hold its grand opening in Township 5 on Monday, Jan. 11 at 11:30 a.m., though it is now taking customers.
The 6,000-square-foot restaurant held its soft opening on Dec. 14, 2015.
Mitsuba features hibachi, sushi, classic teriyaki and tempura dishes, udon (noodles), donburi (rice bowls), katsu (Japanese-style fried chicken or pork) and a full bar.
The Township 5 location will be Mitsuba’s fifth. The Upstate New York-based chain has one hibachi spot and one fine dining location in New Hartford, along with restaurants in Rome and Ithaca.
Owner Eric Jiang said Mitsuba orders seafood directly from New York City.
Happy hour at the bar takes place from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to close.
Happy hour specials include a half-price appetizer, $2.75 select draft beer, $1 off select cocktails and wines and 2 for 1 well drinks.
Located just off the Hinsdale Road exit of Route 5, Township 5 is a $58-million mixed-used development. It will have 500,000 square feet of space when finished, including retail, offices and a 96-unit apartment complex.
Coming up soon in Township 5 is Movie Tavern, a movie theater with in-theater dining and bar service. Every theater will have stadium seating, recliners and call-button service.
Others tenants now open at Township 5 include The Brasserie, Elite Personal Fitness, Costco, GNC, Mesa Grande Taqueria, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sally Beauty, Metro Mattress, T-Mobile, Hoopla! Frozen Yogurt, Subway, Red Robin, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, LongHorn Steakhouse and Hair Studio One.
